Community Centre Refurbishment Progress

Work on the Community Centre is now underway to replace the rotten metal roof with a tiled roof for longevity thus exceeding the life of the centre which is a valuable resource for the residents of Hellesdon.

The new roof is in keeping with the area and of similar design and style of the Council Offices.  Objective 4 of the neighbourhood plan is to protect and enhance local community facilities,  the Parish Council hope that by doing the roof this way that this will ensure the community centre is still standing for many years to come.

Throughout the duration of the project we will provide weekly updates on the progress.

There was a large undertaking to remove as much property from the Community Centre as possible ahead of the planned works and we would like to thank our regular hirers who collected their property prior to the works. We look forward to welcoming all our regular hirers back.
Floor CoveringThe flooring in the Community Centre is currently being covered with boards to ensure it is protected during the building work and will be completed by the weekend in readiness for the installation of scaffolding next week.
